5 Reflections (+1 BONUS smack down reflection) from Week 20 in the Master Key Experience (MKE):
1. Creating a MasterMind Alliance (MMA): Defined as “a coordination of knowledge and effort in a spirit of harmony between two or more people for the attainment of a definite purpose,” fellow MKEer, Roxie and I created a specific MMA to foster a team desired to master the skills of ushering those who are ready, over the threshold of the Hero’s Journey.
We’ve met twice…and each time I’ve left feeling the inexplicable presence of Spirit – the “Where two or more are gathered” kind – dancing with us as we master this craft.
2. Finding Joe: After watching the movie, yet again, I went down memory lane through my own Hero’s Journey by re-reading my weekly blogs from MKE. In numerology, 5 is the number of change – or be changed.
So…from the beginning, I was inspired to write 5 reflections each week because I knew, before we started, that we would be drinking from a proverbial firehose and wanted a place where I could remember at least some of what was shared. Joseph Campbell’s words rang out…“The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.” Cheers to more of that.
3. The Pyramid of Success Progression- Basketball Coach John Wooden’s masterpiece (check it out online). The life principles summarized in the Pyramid of Success has no explicit reference to athletics. The diagram is simply a roadmap to being a better person. The past 5 months have been a testament to seeing many better-person moments.
Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best that you are capable of being.

4. THE DASH- On tombstones are carved a birth date…and a death date. The dash in-between defines a person’s life. Ah Death: The Ultimate Deadline. It’s even taboo to talk about talking about it. Yet, if we lose our fear of death…we are set free to live that remarkable DASH of a life!
How do you want to be remembered? This is the real legacy. Did I touch other people’s lives? Did I make a difference? All in the midst of the Trance of Comfort. W. Clement Stone said “It takes less energy to succeed than it does to fail.” Today I feel reverence for piece of the dash.
5. Marry Your Future Self– Week 20’s session was full of gems, and hard to whittle down to the final 5…as usual. Yet…One stood out. The fact that a too high percentage of couples spend more money and time planning their wedding DAY, then planning their lives together.
What, then, would life be like if we married our Future Self…and created a NEW blueprint for a happily ever after from that place? We live the life we choose. Choose wisely.
BONUS Reflection: DO IT NOW is the Elixer.
What are YOU pretending not to know, Awesome One?
My favorite MKEism, Marie, is “What would the person I intend to become do next?” It goes so well with our future self — the recipient of marital vows. Great blog, as usual! 🙂
Thanks great Marie, I like that Marry my Future Self. I also love the photo you chose. That is soooo fitting for this course and it really seems to tie in with your Zen personality.
I love it, marry my future self! Thank you!
Hi Marie thank you for sharing I really like of living from your future self now
Marie – Sounds like you’re on an incredible journey of growth and self-discovery! Keep embracing that spirit of harmony and the wisdom of your experiences. It’s all about the dash, right? Keep making your mark!
