The reading is of great interest to me. Both the required reading and the other reading rather suggested or lead too. But even more I feel it is about specific phrases of or connections or laws.
This week it’s from Haanel The conscious mind has “the responsibility of choice.” It is “the watchmen at the gate.” It protects the subconscious mind from the negative or as some would say in the greatest self-help group ever AA, the dumb stuff! (not the exact phrase.) Many directions to go here…
Let’s take W. Clement Stones’ something more. So, one could know the above responsibility but again in the program they would say in unison knowing is not enough. But the real deal is what’s needed is something more. It’s like a Moe slap…
So, the sum or the parts are equal to the whole if you have all the parts. Instead of a wheel with spokes this week I have been looking at blue rectangles. Ironically in the small city I live in, many of the people running for city council are using blue rectangle signs. Of course, I’m using blocks instead of spokes. One may think you have all blocks to fill the rectangle. Yet, something is missing and something more is needed to manifest.
One may think they understand the part about to Thine Own Self Be True. Yes, it’s about responsibility of choice. The choice, of the conscious mind to keep the dumb stuff out of the subconscious mind. I don’t think I maintained the intensity of the constant consistent vigilance during awake hours to avoid old programming. Which you just knew had changed. Kinda of like force field dynamics there is always a push and a pull. Put this another way, it could be something more. It’s this consistent vigilance that is required. In Alanon another great program they ask, “How Important Is It.” Well very! Good Habits says it all.
Fantastic insights on the power of choice and subconscious mind! Your leadership and vision shine through. Keep up the inspiring work!
Joan thank you for you comment. Yes necessary to understand and create.
Thanks Loren, for your comment. Absolutely He Does. Indeed It does.
Thank you Janet, for your comment. You know the sit exercise of no thought shows just how moment by moment it is
Thanks Pennymay, yes I thought it was a sign. lol That quote is good for me.
Thank you Jen I appreciate your comment.
Hi Michael, It really is the consistent vigilance that is required. You have this. You’re using observation of self.
“To thine self be true” + “God dwells within you as you. See God in all people” = BE TRUE TO GOD.
Principles worthy of God is what the MKE teaches, and it’s clear you’re absorbing them like a very thirsty sponge. Nice!!! 🙂
Consistent vigilance- moment by moment. Thank you.
Haha that’s funny Michael with the blue rectangle signs, I haven’t seen many yet.
