minutes remaining

This week I have had lots of reminders of my parents. This picture jumped out at me because they are both in Heaven now and the heart has always been my sign.

You see when I got married my Dad was sick, but he spent the time painting hearts for my center pieces. No matter how bad he was feeling, he wasn’t going to stop until we got them all done. He passed away 3 weeks after I got married, 28 years ago this Saturday.

Ever since, I see hearts everywhere, the clouds, leave, rocks on Southwest flights. It brings me peace knowing that when I see one, Dad is looking out for me. Mom joined him this past November.

This picture made me happy, they are the heart of many stars looking over me and giving me signs that I am on the right path. Last week I went and got some home movies put on a flash drive. I didn’t know what they were, but one was of their wedding. I got the flash drive back on what would have been their 56th wedding anniversary this past Saturday.

I was so happy for them that they were able to celebrate this one together again. I miss them so much!

I am feeling good about taking this class. My Mom was a nurse and then a nursing professor and always instilled in me the importance of reading and always learning new things. Education was very important to her. She would teach me to 1st read the information, 2nd write it down, and 3rd read it out loud. LOL maybe she took this course.

My Dad was an optometrist; he was very organized and detailed. He also loved to write us letters. These blogs remind me of him, and I like to think his organization skills rubbed off on me.

This week, even though I have a lot to do, I do not feel as overwhelmed as I did the first week. I have things organized and put in my calendar, and on my phone. I know what needs to get done and I am doing it now!

Meet Alisa Barone

I am starting my second half of life. Kids are grown, so now it is time for me to learn new things that will help me grow personally, and grow my business. I like to surround myself with knowledgeable people that will help me grow spiritually and professionally.
