The test began in earnest. We started our chore cards this week, and I thought, what a great time to FINALLY clean house. I’m interested in minimalism and was struck by the premise that visual noise stifles creativity.
So, with the chore card in hand, I read enthusiastically and concentrated on colors and shapes. Off to a great start – right?
Then, by Wed, I knew that I was in trouble. A trip to the doctor confirmed that I had Covid. The next few days were a blur – literally. Trying to read was like watching ants dance on paper, also making my head hurt. But I always keep my promises.
When I began to feel more myself, I read again, with ENTHUSIASM. The simplicity of it has energized me and kept defeatism at bay. Just a few more days to get my energy back up and get that chore done, but I will get it done, get it done, get it done.
Can’t wait to see what next week has in store!
It is hard to do anything when not well Dana but you pushed through, great job and great post!
Way to go Dana! Congratulations on coming to your reading with ENTHUSIASM.
Glad you feeling better Dana! Love the “trying to read was like watching ants dance on paper…” Looking forward to next week!
Ahh…the discipline that comes from hearing your own voice telling subby to “do it now, and do it now, do it NOW!”
Thanks @Jen Dilksfor your words of encouragement!
Bravo Dana! Embracing the daily mental exercises, no matter what. Prioritizing your inner world…congrats!
