My favorite part of the entire MKE is the Still Sit. My experiences last week and this have been exhilarating! Last week, on the 2nd or 3rd day, I thought I was crazy…I found myself having, for lack of a better term, an “out of body” experience. I had two brief flashes, each a few seconds, of a fish-eye lens, through which I saw the doors of a public restroom!

Bizarre, to say the least, but interesting. I think I was in an airport terminal Ladies Restroom. I wonder where in the world I was! Have I been there before, or is this a glimpse into my future travels?

This week, while trying to eliminate thoughts during the Sit, I started to experience a variety of colors, mostly purples and greens. I watched the colors and noticed a gold color emerge and form into a moving shape like an atom or a spiral galaxy. I have always been amazed at the similarities of both structures that are powers of 10 apart in size.

I watched the spiral enlarge and contract, and move from directly in my line of vision, and then migrate down and to the left. There were some external noises that caused the spiral to diminish in strength, and I saw its gold light fade, and then return when the noises abated. When it came back, I noticed that the movement had morphed into a pulsing beat…and realized that I was in synch with my heartbeat.

So, my question, I suppose…Was I successful at eliminating thoughts? At one level, No, because my mind was still processing. But, perhaps, Yes, because the thoughts were not of the world without, they were of the world within, and corroborated my connection to it.
