“Phew! “I’ve done it! I made it through Week 1. There were days that I felt quite overwhelmed. Balancing the requirements with family agreement and business commitments felt huge.
I was very thankful when the workbook spelled out planning time by putting things in order: faith, dates with family, business, and course requirements. The spiritual health from my faith is a critical and foundational piece for me! It fits very well in the umbrella of “True Health” that I picture for myself and share with others.
One point taught in the training was to build in more time than you expect to accomplish the item on which you are working. That proved to be true this past week.
I also am taking the advice to focus on one task versus multi-tasking. It is a new habit for me, and I notice that I accomplish more. When reading Og Mandino’s Scroll 1, the description of “new furrows prepared for good seed” makes me realize that every good habit I embrace has tremendous potential over time!
In working on suggested revisions to my DMP (Definite Major Purpose), I really appreciated the questions asked by my guide. It helped me to dig deeper and express “my” desired purpose with more clarity. It is still a work in progress, and I now feel that it will continue to evolve.
Looking forward to adding more insights as my journey continues and I learn from the other brave people who are embarking on it too!!
Hi Patricia, Your dedication to balancing faith, family, and work is inspiring. Taking things step by step and focusing on one task at a time is something I’m working on, too. In Gratitude
Pat I really like that Og quote yes, get rid of the old and by planting the new. A habit for a habit.
Hi Patricia, Staying focused on one exercise at a time does produce better results. Good observation
I love how your sense of order and priority are bringing you balance, Patricia. What a great example to set for all of us!
